And continuing on our “EXPO VIBE” for tomorrow at the iconic Roundhouse we want to introduce an old friend Jim Summaria who will be bringing his one of a kind classic rock photos from the past 50 years. His bio is below. We look forward to him bringing a “concert” feel to our event.

Jim Summaria is a veteran rock concert photographer whose photos have been published in numerous books, magazines, film documentaries, web sites, DVD’s, CD’s and is a contributing photographer to Premier Guitar and Good Times (Germany) magazines. He is one of the staff photographers at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, IL and Des Plaines Theater. He is co-author (with Mark Plotnick) of the book “Classic Rock: Photographs From Yesterday & Today.”

Along with Mark Plotnick he hosts the weekly program “That Classic Rock Show” on Huntley Community Radio, WHRU 101.5 FM. Jim’s rock & roll photographs have been featured on the Grammy Awards and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame television broadcasts. His photos have been used by the Illinois Rock & Roll Museum in Joliet, IL., the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England and the Smithsonian Institute (book). His lifelong passion for rock photography began when he was 19-years-old when he became an official photographer for Flip Side Productions – a Chicago concert promoter. Thus began an odyssey of shooting every major rock act of the ‘70s and he continues photographing rock shows to this day. He has created the unique “then and now” portfolio few photographers have.
