Bowie Yikes What a backstory

In the span of just seven years, Bowie accomplished an extraordinary amount. He released eight studio albums — Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, Low, and Heroes — along with Pin Ups and the live record David Live.

Beyond his own work, he produced a remarkable string of records for other artists, including Iggy Pop’s Raw Power, Lou Reed’s Transformer, Mott the Hoople’s All the Young Dudes, Lulu’s Heaven and the Earth and the Stars, Mick Ronson’s Slaughter on 5th Avenue, and Iggy Pop’s The Idiot and Lust for Life. He also starred in The Man Who Fell to Earth and played 354 live shows — 96 in 1972, 85 in 1973, 78 in 1974, 65 in 1976, and 30 in 1977 as part of Iggy Pop’s tour.

During this same period, he battled a severe cocaine addiction that nearly cost him his life, welcomed his first child, endured a bitter legal dispute with manager Tony Defries, and relocated from America to the UK and eventually to Berlin. It is almost incomprehensible that one person could achieve so much in so little time.

Thank you so much for all your music and more Mr David Bowie💗💜
