Friend of the platform Ken Voss posted this insightful piece chronicling the fact the first ever Beatles record released in the States almost a year BEFORE the seismic cultural explosion that was Ed Sullivan on 2/9/1964 was right here in Chicago on Feb 28th 1963. Featured in the thread on this post is not only a picture of the actual VJ 498 45 but also a WLS Silver Dollar survey from the following week of March 8th 1963 which represents the last week the 45 record tracked here.
